Notable identified items include the H.M.V. Junior Record Club release of Beatrix Potter: The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck (7EG 102), narrated by Vivien Leigh and Cicely Courtneidge with a full cast. Also present are Billy Joel: Uptown Girl (1983) in its original picture sleeve, The Shadows: Don’t Cry For Me Argentina (EMI, 1978), and a Harry Secombe: Sacred Songs EP. The lot includes Fiddler’s Dram: Daytrip to Bangor on the Dingle’s label and several recordings from the H.M.V. Your Kind of Music series featuring classical and choral works. Label interest is represented by Tamla Motown (gold sleeve), Pye Records, Atlantic (green and orange label), Columbia, and EMI.
Condition report:
The collection is in varied, used condition. Many sleeves show significant signs of age and handling, including creasing, edge wear, some tearing, and minor foxing or surface soiling. The vinyl records themselves show light surface marks and dust; they have not been professionally cleaned or play-tested for audio quality. The lot is sold as seen.
