Lot 325: A Collection of Royal Vale and Hammersley Bone China with Assorted Decorative Ceramics and Glassware
This lot comprises an assortment of decorative household items, ceramics, and glassware. The collection features Royal Vale bone china side plates with scalloped edges and gilt rims, decorated with transfer-printed blue cornflower sprays. The bases are marked with a black printed crown mark for Royal Vale, Bone China, Made in England. Also included are Hammersley bone china side plates in the Lady Patricia pattern, decorated with pink floral sprays and marked with the Hammersley crown and script signature. Other ceramic items include an unmarked floral plate with a gilt rim, a large buff-coloured earthenware baluster vase featuring a relief-moulded grapevine shoulder band, a green glazed ribbed earthenware vase with hand-painted botanical motifs, and a decorative ceramic tile featuring a rooster. The glassware includes a fluted clear glass decanter with a matching stopper and a small cut-glass dish with a starburst base. Additional items consist of a pair of pierced black and gold metal lanterns, a black metal chamberstick, a metal springform cake tin, a large Jones wall clock with Arabic numerals, a black lacquered box with gold and orange Chinoiserie decoration, and a multi-tiered wooden rack with carved circular motifs.
Condition report:
The items generally appear in good used condition. Minor wear is visible to the gilding of the bone china plates and surface wear is present on the large earthenware vases. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible upon inspection.
