Lot 406: A Collection of Mid-20th Century British Board Games, Jigsaw Puzzles, and Toys
This collection comprises an assortment of mid-century leisure items primarily of British manufacture. The lot includes three boxed jigsaw puzzles: a Victory wood puzzle depicting a British Railways Western Region Express steam locomotive, a Pixie Puzzle Pictures set for tiny hands marked Made in England, and The Clifden wood puzzle featuring a rural farmhouse scene with cattle. Board games include two boxed Draughts sets, a Chinese Checkers set for two to six players with vibrant illustrated cover art, and a folding Ludo board. Traditional gaming items feature a set of dominoes in a green lithographed Wills’s Woodbine branded tin and two packs of playing cards with pheasant and floral reverse designs. Also included is an assortment of loose die-cast and plastic models, including a red London double-decker bus and a yellow tractor.
