Lot 505: Two vintage cameras comprising a Praktica VF 35mm SLR and a Mansfield Holiday I-EE 8mm cine camera
This lot consists of two mid-20th-century cameras. The first is a Praktica VF 35mm single lens reflex (SLR) camera. The metal chassis features a satin chrome finish to the top and bottom plates with a black textured body covering. It is fitted with an E. Ludwig Meritar 50mm f/2.9 lens, with markings on the front ring reading E. Ludwig 1:2.9/50. The camera is housed in a brown leather ever-ready carrying case embossed with the Praktica logo.
The second item is a Mansfield Holiday I-EE 8mm cine camera. The metal body is finished in a black crackle or wrinkle texture. It features an integrated pistol-style grip with a trigger release and a fold-out winding handle marked Mansfield. The camera retains a previous auction lot sticker from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
Condition report:
Both items are sold as seen and have not been tested for functional operation. The Praktica VF shows significant dust accumulation, particularly around the lens mount and manual controls. The associated leather case exhibits wear and the strap appears aged. The Mansfield cine camera shows surface dust and minor scuffing to the textured finish. Internal lens clarity and shutter speeds are untested.
