Lot 606: The London Owl Company The Cricketer Character Owl Figure
A vintage character owl figure titled The Cricketer, produced by The London Owl Company. The figure features a brown faux fur body with a detailed face and large inset eyes. It is dressed in traditional cricket attire, comprising a white cable-knit v-neck sweater with red and navy blue striped trim, white trousers, and white protective batting pads. The owl holds a miniature wooden cricket bat in its left wing. The figure is mounted on a circular wooden base with a metal support stand. The base bears an incised cursive mark reading Roost.
Condition report:
The item exhibits light age-related wear throughout. There is minor surface soiling visible on the white fabric components, including the sweater, trousers, and batting pads. The wooden base and bat show minimal signs of use.
