Lot 634: Three pieces of British pewter comprising a pair of candlesticks and an Arts and Crafts style dish
This lot consists of three items of pewter metalware. The pair of candlesticks are of cast construction, featuring baluster stems and circular flared bases. The rims of the candle cups and the bases are decorated with a repeating beaded or textured border. The shallow dish is designed in the Arts and Crafts style with a hand-hammered or planished surface. It is of lobed, floral form with a scalloped rim and stands on four small integral bun feet. All three items feature impressed marks to the undersides, though the characters are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
All items exhibit a dark, aged patina. There is visible surface wear throughout, including minor scratches and small tarnish spots, consistent with age and use. No significant structural damage is apparent.
