Lot 1042: British School, 20th Century, Abstract Composition
A modern abstract composition executed in watercolour and bodycolour on paper. The work features fluid, energetic washes of vibrant red, purple, turquoise, and ochre, centred around a concentrated core of pigment suggesting a floral or celestial form. The style is characteristic of late 20th-century abstract expressionism. No signature or date is visible on the front of the work. The painting is housed in an expansive off-white mount with a maroon inner border, set within a simple wooden frame with a metallic inner edge. The frame bears a lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms (Lot 1042).
