Lot 338: An Assortment of Kitchenware, Ceramics, and Dad's Army Memorabilia
An assortment of kitchenware and domestic ceramics, including a group of stainless steel vacuum flasks of various sizes. One flask is fitted with a tan-coloured sleeve featuring printed text for the Walmington-on-Sea Platoon Home Guard, referencing the television series Dad’s Army. The collection includes a partial tea and coffee service in white ceramic with pink floral and linear decoration, comprising a lidded teapot, cups, saucers, and side plates. Also present is a large oval serving platter with a decorative border of fruit and floral motifs on blue and gold-toned bands. Additional items include a wooden breadboard with an integrated knife slot and accompanying knife, a circular metal mesh sieve, and a purple plastic tray. The items are housed in a red plastic transport crate.
Condition report:
Items are in used condition with visible signs of previous wear. The stainless steel flasks show surface scuffing and minor marks. The ceramics appear to be free of significant chips or cracks upon visual inspection, though they exhibit general surface wear consistent with domestic use.
