Lot 428: An Assortment of Vintage Casual Wear and Sportswear, c. 1980s-1990s
A collection of assorted contemporary and vintage casual clothing and sportswear, primarily dating from the late 20th century. The lot includes a light blue chambray-style long-sleeved shirt featuring a patch pocket on the breast with a woven navy blue rectangular label. The label is embroidered with the text FORWARD STATION above a series of five nautical signal flags. Also included is a pair of vibrant purple shorts with an elasticated waistband and a thin white and turquoise contrast stripe. The lot contains a reddish-brown utility garment, possibly a light jacket or trousers, featuring a zip-fastened pocket with a metal pull and a metal snap-button closure. Knitwear is represented by a dark grey or black knitted garment with horizontal stripes in light blue and olive green. Other folded garments are present in a palette of teal, tan, terracotta, and muted blue. Materials include cotton, denim, synthetic blends, and wool or acrylic knits.
