Lot 489: Three pieces of glassware comprising a pair of wine glasses attributed to Cristalleria Fratelli Fumo and a moulded glass comport
A collection of three items of glassware. The pair of wine glasses are attributed to Cristalleria Fratelli Fumo, featuring clear tulip-shaped bowls with a wide, applied gilt band at the rim. The gilt decoration consists of a repeating pattern of interlocking scrolls and circular motifs. Each glass is supported by a plain, tapering stem on a simple circular foot. The third item is a moulded glass comport or dessert glass with a rectangular-profile bowl. The lower section of the bowl is decorated with a pattern of vertical ribs and horizontal banding. The stem features a central faceted knop and rests on a plain circular foot. A modern paper lot sticker for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 489, is present on the comport. No maker marks or etched signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant clouding to the glass. The gilt rims on the pair of wine glasses show minor surface wear and light rubbing consistent with age and use.
