Lot 540: Squier by Fender Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Mick Mars Tribute Style
A Squier by Fender Stratocaster solid-body electric guitar, presented in a distressed white finish in the style of a Mick Mars tribute. The instrument features an HSS pickup configuration, consisting of one bridge humbucking pickup and two single-coil middle and neck pickups. The body is of double-cutaway construction, paired with a bolt-on maple neck and a dark hardwood fingerboard with white dot position inlays. The headstock bears the Squier script logo, By Fender branding, and the Stratocaster model name in block capitals, with a small handwritten Vintage inscription to the upper edge. The reverse of the headstock is marked Crafted in China with the serial number CY200305344. The guitar is equipped with a non-standard silver sparkle pickguard, three black plastic control knobs, and a five-way blade selector switch. Hardware includes a chrome-finished six-point synchronised tremolo bridge and six-in-line die-cast tuners. The neck plate is chrome-finished and bears the Squier logo. A red, white, and blue Fender-branded nylon strap is included.
Condition report:
The body has been heavily and intentionally distressed in a relic style, with significant areas of the white lacquer removed to expose the natural wood grain. The tremolo arm is missing.
