Lot 572: Three Vintage Glass and Crystal Perfume Bottles and Atomisers
This collection consists of three vintage perfume vessels, featuring a marked Royal Brierley crystal atomiser, a mottled art glass atomiser, and a cut crystal scent bottle. The Royal Brierley atomiser is constructed from clear lead crystal of globular form, decorated with an intricate deep-cut pattern of cross-hatched diamonds to the lower half and fan-cut motifs to the shoulder. The hardware includes a gold-tone metal screw-top and a white fabric-corded hose with a matching knitted squeeze bulb and tassel. A gold foil Royal Brierley label is present on the base. The second piece is a hand-blown art glass atomiser with an internal mottled or spattered pattern in light blue and white. It is fitted with gold-tone hardware and a blue knitted squeeze bulb, with a small blue paper label attached to the body. The third item is a clear crystal scent bottle with a globular body featuring diamond and wedge-cut decoration. It includes a matching clear glass stopper with vertical facet cutting and a frosted ground joint.
Condition report:
All three items are in good decorative condition. The crystal pieces show high clarity with sharp cutting and no visible chips, cracks, or internal clouding. The art glass body and hardware appear free from damage. The fabric elements of the atomisers, including the corded hoses and knitted bulbs, appear clean and well-preserved. The mechanical operation of the atomisers has not been tested.
