Lot 585: A Trio of Dresden Floral Porcelain Decorative Items
This collection comprises three pieces of Dresden porcelain, each featuring traditional floral decorations and gilded accents. The first item is a miniature shoe-form posy vase or boot, decorated with floral sprays including a central pink rose. It features a scalloped, flared rim and gilded highlights to the heel and buttons. The underside bears a gold mark of a crown over a capital letter. The second item is a shallow trinket dish modelled in the form of an open folding fan, decorated with a central floral bouquet and a cobalt blue border with gilded scrolling foliate patterns. A blue printed mark is present on the base. The third item is a rectangular covered trinket box with a fitted lid topped by a floral bud-form finial. The lid is finished with a light blue ground and four pink rose sprays within a scalloped gilded border. The base is marked in black print with Dresden China Foreign and includes an incised number 2924.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There is minor rubbing to the gilding on the high points of the shoe-form vase. The lid finial on the trinket box remains intact. No chips, cracks, or visible restorations are evident across the group.
