Lot 754: A rustic solid pine square coffee table
A square coffee table of rustic form, constructed from solid planked pine. The table features a thick top with rounded corners, raised on four sturdy turned legs. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible on the piece. A small white rectangular sticker with the numbers 754 is located on the side edge, and a small square light-blue sticker is positioned in the centre of the tabletop; both appear to be contemporary auction lot labels. The design and construction are consistent with late 20th-century country-style furniture, resembling pine ranges produced by mass-market retailers such as IKEA.
Condition report:
The table is in well-used condition. The top surface displays numerous scratches, indentations, and marks, with visible staining and wear to the finish throughout. The legs exhibit scuffing and minor losses to the wood, particularly towards the feet. The piece has an overall distressed appearance.
