Lot 801: A Circular Side Table and a Bedside Chest of Drawers
A lot comprising two pieces of furniture: a circular side table and a bedside chest of drawers. The side table is constructed from light-toned wood with a high-gloss polished finish, featuring a solid circular top with a rounded edge. It is supported by a central turned pedestal resting on a tripod base with three splayed legs. The bedside chest of drawers is finished in a mahogany tone and features a rectangular top with a shaped gallery backboard. The chest contains three drawers, each decorated with moulded panelling and fitted with brass-effect circular pull knobs. It is supported by a solid plinth base with a decoratively shaped front apron. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on either piece; a temporary auction lot sticker numbered 801 is present on the side of the chest.
Condition report:
The side table exhibits several visible surface scratches and minor scuffs to the top and legs. The bedside chest of drawers appears to be in generally good condition with minor surface wear and small marks consistent with age and use.
