Lot 896: A Pair of Industrial Metal Spotlights and an Assortment of Tools in a Vintage Wooden Chest
This lot features a pair of industrial-style spotlights, likely designed for warehouse or commercial ceiling and wall mounting. The fixtures are constructed from metal, possibly steel or aluminium, featuring bell-shaped reflectors with polished or plated interiors and painted or raw metal exterior housings. Each light is mounted on a circular base. The lot is contained within a vintage wooden chest of rectangular form, featuring metal corner reinforcements, hinges, and a metal carrying handle. Also included within the chest is an assortment of miscellaneous hand tools. The spotlights are fitted with modern white electrical cables that have been cut, leaving bare wire ends. One fixture currently contains a compact fluorescent lamp bulb. These electrical items are untested and must be inspected and rewired by a qualified professional before any attempt at use.
Condition report:
The items are offered in as found condition. The spotlights exhibit significant signs of age and industrial use, including accumulated surface dust, pitting, and areas of rust and oxidation, particularly visible on the mounting bases and the interior reflectors. The wooden chest shows heavy wear consistent with age, including staining, scratches, and surface corrosion to the metal fittings. The included hand tools are in a similarly worn and used condition.
