Lot 898: A Pair of Stag Minstrel Mahogany Bedside Cabinets
A pair of mid-century modern mahogany-stained bedside cabinets from the Minstrel range, designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture. Each cabinet features a rectangular top with a profiled, bevelled edge. The single drawer is constructed with a slightly arched lower apron and is fitted with a central circular brass ring pull handle. The units are raised on four integrated square-section tapering legs. While no manufacturer marks are present on the wood, the design corresponds to the Stag Minstrel range, supported by a handwritten vendor note.
Condition report:
The cabinets are in good used condition. There are minor surface scratches and small indentations to the tops and edges consistent with age and use. A visible scuff to the wood finish is present on one drawer front near the brass handle.
