The base is fitted with an integral shaped shelf incorporating two circular apertures, likely intended for vanity items or brushes. The construction suggests a mid-20th-century origin, and the blue finish appears to be a later application over the original wood.
Condition report:
The painted surface shows wear and minor chipping to the edges and corners revealing a lighter base material. The mirror plate is in poor condition with significant foxing, silvering loss, and dark mottling across the surface.
