Lot 398: An Assortment of Ceramics, Glassware, and Household Items including Portmeirion and J. & G. Meakin
A mixed lot of ceramics, glassware, and household items. The ceramic selection includes a white ironstone mug by J. & G. Meakin from the Homespun range, featuring a brown transfer-printed geometric floral pattern and bearing the Royal Staffordshire bell mark to the base. Also present is a white moulded porcelain vessel from the Portmeirion British Heritage Collection with fluted sides and manufacturer’s mark to the base. The collection contains two large display plates decorated with a fruit and vine transfer-printed design and deep red rims, alongside blue and white transfer-ware in the Willow pattern, including a bowl and a small dish. Other ceramic items include a large white basin with a single handle, a small tray with a cupcake motif, and assorted white tableware. Glassware consists of a clear bulbous decanter with a matching stopper, two green-tinted wine glasses with clear stems, a ruby red glass vessel, a pressed glass bowl with a starburst pattern to the base, and a faceted clear glass container. The lot is completed by a set of circular cork place mats and is contained within a large clear plastic storage bin.
