Lot 496: A Collection of Vintage Ceramic Animal Figurines and a John Haig Dimple Whisky Bottle
A group of decorative items comprising various ceramic animal figurines and glassware. The collection features a large model of a Shire horse in a dark brown glaze with white feathering to the legs, fitted with a detailed synthetic harness and metal chains. Also included is a white porcelain reclining horse and a selection of small ceramic birds, notably a robin and a sparrow perched on naturalistic branch-form bases. The assortment includes multiple dog figurines of different breeds, including a grey and white sheepdog, alongside a small kitten and a yellow chick. A glass Dimple Scotch Whisky bottle by John Haig & Co. Ltd is present, retaining its original labels indicating 70 proof and distilled in Scotland. A small salt or pepper shaker with a blue and white patterned ceramic top and a dark brown tapered body completes the lot.
