Lot 54: A Trio of Wrought Iron Architectural Fittings
A trio of traditional wrought iron architectural components, likely intended for a hanging sign or weathervane assembly. The group comprises two scrolled brackets and a silhouette finial. The first bracket features a long horizontal arm supported by a scrolled stay, terminating in a cylindrical mounting collar. The second bracket consists of a heavy vertical mounting bar with decorative scrollwork and a corresponding cylindrical collar. The third item is a flat sheet metal silhouette finial depicting a pig standing upon an arrow, fitted with a tubular sleeve for use as a rotating component. The pieces exhibit hand-wrought construction and a vernacular style consistent with 19th or early 20th-century metalwork. One piece carries a lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
