Lot 576: A Collection of 13 Pieces of Miscellaneous Collectable Metalware and Decorative Objects
This lot consists of an assortment of decorative items and metalware. Featured items include a miniature model cannon with a cast brass barrel and a black-painted cast iron carriage. A large copper tea kettle is included, showing a traditional Victorian-style construction with visible seams, a fixed overhead handle, and a lid with an acorn finial. The collection also contains a cast brass hand bell with a turned handle, a small tapered copper pitcher with a loop handle, and a miniature cast brass Dutch-style clog with chased floral decoration. A hinged brass box modelled as a walnut contains two small black dice with white pips. Silver-tone metalware includes a small circular dish with scrolled repousse borders in the Rococo style and an elongated pear-shaped tray with a gadrooned rim. Also present is a single green moulded glass bottle with a ribbed surface. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are clearly visible on the items.
