Lot 629: A Collection of UK Banknotes and Commemorative Coins
A numismatic collection comprising a Bank of England banknote and several commemorative coins. The assembly includes a Bank of England Series C One Pound note, featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the signature of Chief Cashier L.K. O’Brien, serial number 27B 802211. The commemorative items include two crown-sized coins with a decimal denomination of 25 pence: a 1972 Silver Wedding crown celebrating the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip, housed in a black presentation case, and a 1981 Royal Wedding crown commemorating the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, contained within a red plastic commemorative folder.
