Lot 662: A Collection of Vintage English and German Ceramics and Green Glassware
This collection comprises an assortment of vintage ceramics and decorative glassware. The ceramic items include pieces from the Soho Pottery Ltd Solian Ware range in the Queens Green pattern, manufactured in Cobridge, England. This group includes a teapot, a tall pitcher, a small creamer, and a bowl, all featuring a white body decorated with green banding and gilded accents. The base of the pitcher is marked with the Soho Pottery backstamp and the pattern name. Also included is a square porcelain plate by Schönwald, Germany, decorated with a hand-painted botanical design of various flowers and grasses. The underside of the plate is marked with the Schönwald crown and tree logo, the number 192, and hand-painted marks 1960 and BS. The glassware portion of the collection includes two green pressed glass vases, one featuring a fluted rim and a tiered hexagonal footed base. Further glass items consist of a teal-coloured three-section divided dish with a textured base and a pale green glass plate with a radiating ribbed pattern. Several green glass bottles and decanters are also present, including a tall green decanter with a diamond-patterned mid-section and a dark green glass bottle complete with its stopper.
