Lot 724: An Assortment of Wall Mirrors to Include a Regency Style Convex Mirror
An assortment of wall mirrors featuring a variety of frame styles and periods. The collection is led by a circular Regency-style convex mirror with a giltwood and composition frame. This frame is decorated with a border of spherule ornaments and is topped with a stylized fan-shaped cresting. The convex mirror plate is set within an ebonised reeded slip. Also included is a rectangular wall mirror in a Rococo-revival style gilt frame, featuring deeply molded scrolling foliate, floral, and acanthus leaf decoration. The lot is completed by two 20th-century rectangular dressing mirrors: one set in a dark-stained wood frame with a narrow inner gilt slip, and another in a slender, plain gilt-finished frame with a slight reeded texture. A white rectangular auction label marked Lot 724 is visible on the cresting of the convex mirror.
