Lot 790: A Boxed Set of Two Decks of Tiffany and Co. Playing Cards
This lot comprises a boxed set of two decks of Tiffany and Co. playing cards, which are reproductions of the 1879 designs by C.E. Carryl. The decks are housed within a signature blue cardboard presentation box, with the brand name Tiffany and Co. printed on the lid and the interior divider tray. One deck features a light blue reverse and the other a lime green reverse, both of which are decorated with a central stylised monogram and a white border with gold-toned card suit symbols. According to the included informational card, the Jack cards are themed around symbols of the United States, France, England, and Germany. The Ace of Spades in each deck is marked Tiffany and Co. New York and specifies the cards were made in Spain, bearing the reference number 606073-86.
