Lot 892: A Vintage Whittaker of Willenhall Enamelled Cast-Iron Counter-top Beam Scale
This is a vintage mechanical counter-top beam scale manufactured by Whittaker of Willenhall, England. The unit features a white enamelled cast-iron base supporting a black-painted iron mechanism. It is equipped with a large oval weighing pan with a white enamelled interior and a green-painted underside, paired with a smaller oval cast-iron platform for counterweights. The scale utilises a graduated beam system with a sliding cylindrical poise weight. The beam is marked in metric units ranging from 0 to 1 kilogram with 100g major increments.
