Lot 973: A Collection of Framed Artworks including Watercolors by ERM and a Wooden Relief of the Flying Scotsman
A collection of framed artworks featuring several landscape and maritime studies by the artist signed ERM. The group includes two representational watercolors on paper: a study of a stone arch bridge over a woodland stream, signed and dated ERM 2014, and a winding river valley landscape, signed and dated ERM 2013. Additional works by the same hand include a watercolor of a windmill at sunset, a study of a white cottage with a thatched roof signed and dated ERM 18, and a pen and ink drawing of a fishing vessel at harbor signed and dated ERM Oct 92. The collection also contains a large landscape work signed CW in a white frame, an oil or acrylic on canvas depicting a lakeside village, and a needlepoint piece featuring a coat of arms.
