Lot 136: A pair of large contemporary blue glazed ceramic garden planters
A pair of contemporary ceramic garden planters of tapered, rounded form. Each vessel features a moulded raised lattice or grid-work pattern to the exterior, finished in a mottled and textured deep blue glaze. The flared rims and interiors are finished in a plain cream-coloured unglazed ceramic. Each planter is constructed with multiple drainage holes to the base for outdoor use. One pot retains a paper lot tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms, identifying the lot as number 136. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the bodies or bases.
