Lot 249: A Group of Vintage Toys, Games, and Medical Ephemera in a Suitcase
An assortment of vintage collectibles and household items presented in a mid-20th-century brown fibreboard suitcase with metal hardware and reinforced corners. The group includes a vintage boxed Playmobil set featuring a Formula 1 racing theme with a red car and multiple figures. Board games are represented by a boxed copy of Mousie Mousie and a Jack Straws game box base by Waddington’s Games, alongside a boxed Mind Games Set of 4 pieces by Lifetime Games containing wooden interlocking puzzles. The collection further includes a vintage Donald Duck plush toy and a large pink moulded plastic teapot with floral embossing. A light blue painted tin, marked SANDWICH BOX, contains various small hand tools and a small cast metal figure. Ephemera consists of a red cloth-bound volume titled The Nurse’s Pronouncing Dictionary, containing early 20th-century advertisements for Bailey’s Bags and Robinson’s Patent Barley. A small white milk glass vessel or egg cup is also included.
