Lot 278: An Assortment of Vintage Household Hardware, Collectibles, and Ephemera
This lot consists of a diverse collection of vintage and modern household items, hardware, and printed ephemera. Included is a sheet of vintage advertising labels for various British brands including Chad Valley Toys, Koh-I-Noor Pencils, Wren’s Shoe Polish, Lytham St Annes, Webb Lawnmowers, Paignton, Stanley Shapers, and Hardtmuth’s Drawing Pins, printed by Wm. Sessions Ltd., The Ebor Press, York. A motorcycle-themed birthday card by Ling Design is also present. Metalware items comprise several large rusted iron skeleton keys, a small brass padlock, a pair of small tongs marked EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver, and a small square trinket box with a brass-coloured frame and a rose-patterned ceramic lid. The collection features a die-cast military artillery gun in olive green paint and a stylized cast brass figure of an elongated human form. Hardware includes a vintage wooden and metal door knob assembly on an iron spindle, a brass-coloured cylinder lock with keys, and various assorted brass and plastic fittings. The lot also contains various modern electrical components such as grounding wire, cabling, and connectors, much of which is housed in repurposed plastic containers.
