Lot 465: A Set of Gilt-Edge Porcelain Dessert Service with Forget-Me-Not Decoration
A porcelain dessert or fruit service, likely of European manufacture, featuring a forget-me-not floral pattern. The set comprises a large pedestal comport and a collection of matching circular side plates. Each piece is decorated with a central cluster of blue forget-me-not flowers with green leaves and small pink buds. This central motif is framed by a border of gilded scrollwork interspersed with smaller floral sprays. The pieces are finished with a shaped, scalloped rim and a gilded edge. The decoration is transfer-printed with gilded highlights. No maker marks or backstamps are visible on the pieces.
