Lot 471: A Late 19th or Early 20th Century Winsor & Newton Ltd. Artist's Stencilling Kit
A Winsor & Newton, Ltd. stencilling kit, late 19th to early 20th century, housed in a black-painted metal box with a hinged lid. The interior is divided into compartments containing an assortment of glass bottles in various shapes, including octagonal, square, and cylindrical forms. Visible labels include Winsor & Newton Wood Blue for stencil work and others for artists’ pen work. The kit contains an original printed price list for Winsor & Newton stencilling materials in oil and bronze powder colours. Also included are several wooden-handled artist brushes, pen holders, and a Bak-Fin pen box fragment by Finnemore, Ltd.
