Lot 550: Twelve Pieces of Cristal d'Arques Lead Crystal Glassware in the Longchamp Pattern
A collection of twelve pieces of 24% lead crystal manufactured by the French firm Cristal d’Arques. The group is presented in two original manufacturer’s boxes and features the Longchamp pattern, which is characterised by deep diamond-cut designs around the base of the bowls and vertical fluting extending towards the rims. The collection includes a set of stemmed liqueur glasses with multi-faceted stems and circular feet, and a set of small cylindrical tumblers or shot glasses. The side of the blue cardboard packaging bears the printed brand name cristal d’arques along with the text GENUINE LEAD CRYSTAL and a capacity mark of 6cl for the stemmed glasses. Labels present on the packaging include an auction lot sticker for Liskeard Auction Rooms and a handwritten reference 2818.
