Lot 631: Victorian Green Man Carved Oak Side Table
A Victorian carved oak side table crafted in the 17th-century revival style. The rectangular solid oak top is decorated with a border of deeply carved semicircular lunette motifs. The frieze features corresponding carved decoration, with one side centred by a prominent Green Man foliate mask. The table is supported by four ring-and-block turned legs, which are joined by a sturdy, low-level perimeter box stretcher. The top surface bears a handwritten adhesive label which reads 13 VICTORIAN GREEN MAN, CARVED OAK TABLE. The item also bears a printed lot sticker from Liskeard Auction Rooms for Lot 631.
