Lot 655: A Rustic Pine Bedside Cabinet with Divided Interior
A solid pine bedside cabinet or small side cupboard, late 20th century, designed in a rustic country style. The cabinet is constructed with a medium-toned waxed finish, showcasing characteristic knots and grain. The upper section is fitted with a standard-width drawer featuring a wrought-iron style drop-handle on a circular backplate. To the left of the drawer is a narrow, vertical pull-out compartment fitted with a small ring pull. The lower section comprises a cupboard door with a raised arched panel, mounted on exposed metal barrel hinges and featuring a decorative keyhole escutcheon. The cabinet stands on a shaped plinth base with turned decorative accents to the front corners. Internally, the lower cupboard is fitted with a single fixed vertical partition, creating two narrow storage bays. The design is in the style of the Torreon collection by Broyhill.
