Lot 701: A late Victorian stripped pine bedside cabinet
A late Victorian or early Edwardian stripped pine bedside cabinet, featuring a single drawer over an open storage compartment. The unit is constructed with a moulded-edge top above a drawer fitted with a turned pine bun handle. The back is formed of vertical beadboard tongue and groove panelling, and the piece rests on a simple solid plinth base. The pine has been stripped of its original finish to reveal a dry, scrubbed appearance. A modern paper lot label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 701, is attached to the upper right corner of the top.
