Lot 788: A Collection of Decorative Prints and Maps Including Examples After Willem Blaeu and Nadeau
A collection of decorative wall art consisting of five framed prints and one unframed canvas print. The group includes a large-scale reproduction map titled Magna Britannia et Hibernia Tabula after the 1635 original by Willem and Johan Blaeu, produced as an offset lithograph by John Bartholomew & Son Ltd, Edinburgh. Also featured is a topographical map titled Environs of Plymouth & Devonport. The collection contains a framed coastal landscape print signed Nadeau in the lower right, a genre print of a rural scene titled Nag’s Head Inn, and an architectural print of a classical archway and carriage. Completing the lot is an unframed photographic giclée print on canvas depicting a coastal scene at dusk. The framed items are housed in a selection of gilt-effect and dark wood frames.
