Lot 861: A modern upcycled open bookcase with two-tone painted finish
A contemporary open-fronted bookcase constructed from softwood, featuring a country-style design with a decorative scalloped top frieze and a horizontally planked backboard. The piece has been upcycled with a two-tone painted finish, consisting of a matte grey exterior and a contrasting bright yellow interior. The interior sides are fitted with vertical rows of pre-drilled holes to allow for shelf height adjustment. The unit contains two adjustable shelves. A contemporary auction house lot label from Liskeard Auction Rooms for Lot 861 is adhered to one shelf, positioned above a handwritten inventory label numbered 3028. No original maker’s marks or stamps are present.
