A mid-century rectangular storage chest or laundry basket manufactured by the British firm W. Lusty & Sons under the Lloyd Loom brand name. The piece features the characteristic construction of twisted kraft paper woven over a wire-reinforced frame, built upon a wooden support structure. The sides and interior framework are finished in a light blue paint, while the top of the hinged lid has a weathered grey-brown appearance with traces of blue paint showing through. An original paper manufacturer label is present on the interior rim, bearing the Lloyd Loom logo and the name W. Lusty & Sons. The item is currently fitted with a lot tag for Liskeard Auction Rooms.
