Lot 261: A Collection of Vintage Household Items, Decorative Objects, and Theatre Ephemera
An assortment of items featuring a lidded bulbous basket crafted from woven plant fibres with dyed geometric patterns in muted purple and green-grey tones. The collection includes a traditional two-tone salt-glaze stoneware jug with a dark brown iron-rich upper portion and a cream-coloured body, alongside a tapered brushed metal tankard with a distinctive mid-century modern angular handle. A rectangular dark wood box, possibly mahogany, is decorated with five circular white inlays to the lid and features a single keyhole. Metalware includes an aluminium ladle with a hooked terminal and a semi-cylindrical ferrous metal scoop with a loop handle, showing heavy oxidation. Glassware consists of a horizontally ribbed clear glass bottle with a slender neck and a separate small clear glass jar. The lot is accompanied by a vintage souvenir programme for a production of Oliver! at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon.
