Lot 383: An Assortment of Decorative and Household Items including Ceramics, Glassware, and Metalware
A collection of various decorative and functional objects. The ceramic items include an earthenware childs plate featuring a multi-colour transfer print of anthropomorphic ducks fishing by a pond with a repeating duck motif on the border. There is a large terracotta earthenware pitcher of ovoid form with an unglazed body, a single strap handle, and a glazed rim and interior. Also present is a white glazed ceramic pitcher decorated with hand-painted abstract blue and yellow floral motifs and a brown-speckled textured glaze to the rim and handle, alongside a small glazed ceramic figurine of an elephant in grey and brown tones. Glassware includes a group of four cut glass tumblers with diamond and fan cut patterns to the lower half and a small green-tinted glass figurine in the form of a dragon or sea creature. Metalware and miscellaneous items consist of a silver-tone metal goblet with engraved foliate and floral decorations, a figural silver-tone napkin ring in the form of a seated pug dog with a bow tie, and a small metal crocodile figurine. The lot is completed by a novelty bottle encased in dark brown leather with a central circular viewing aperture and a checkered border, retaining its cork stopper.
