Lot 402: A Set of Porcelain Tea and Coffee Service Pieces with Gilt Rose and Blue Ribbon Decoration
A set of porcelain tea and coffee service items, featuring an ornate design. Each piece is decorated with a white ground and transfer-printed pink rose sprays contained within blue heart-shaped and foliate cartouches. The pattern is further enhanced with blue ribbon and bow motifs, along with gilt-printed floral scrollwork and borders. The forms are decorative, featuring scalloped rims and scrolled handles. The collection includes a teapot with a domed, knopped lid and ornate scroll handle and spout, two open bowls of varying sizes, two milk jugs or creamers, several footed cups, and a selection of matching saucers and side plates. One larger plate in the stack features twin pierced handles. No maker’s marks are visible on the pieces; however, they bear auction lot labels for Liskeard Auction Rooms.
