Lot 560: A Collection of Polychrome Ceramic and Porcelain Figurines
An assortment of decorative figurines comprising various subjects and styles. The collection includes eighteenth-century style figures featuring a seated courtly couple and a young boy in a tricorne hat. Also present are several character studies of elderly individuals, including a seated woman holding a ginger cat, another seated at a bench with a bowl, and figures carrying parcels or bags in attire suggestive of nineteenth-century European folk dress. A further piece depicts a pair of children dancing on a circular grassy base. The items feature a mix of glazed porcelain and matte finishes with polychrome decoration. No maker marks or factory stamps are visible on the bases or bodies of the pieces.
