This early 20th-century Jacobean Revival oak glazed sheet music or record cabinet is a single-piece unit constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish. The cabinet features two glazed doors, each containing twin glass panels set within oak frames. The vertical central stiles of the doors are decorated with carved foliate-inspired motifs. The interior is fitted with a series of fixed vertical wooden dividers designed for the upright storage of sheet music, records, or documents. The doors are hung on small external hinges and secured with a metal catch. The cabinet is raised on a substantial trestle-style base, comprising two heavy, gadrooned cup and cover bulbous supports resting on block feet, joined by a low-profile shaped stretcher.
