Lot 703: Two Vintage Suitcases Including a Wood-Strapped Trunk and a Vulcanised Fibre Case
A pair of vintage travel cases comprising one trunk and one suitcase. The trunk is finished with a blue and white checked pattern covering and is reinforced by three vertical wooden support slats on the exterior. It features metal-bound edges, rivets, and metal corner protectors. The second case is a brown textured suitcase, likely manufactured from vulcanised fibre, with metal corner guards and a brown leather carry handle. Both pieces incorporate metal hardware and riveted construction. The brown case bears a white adhesive label from Liskeard Auction Rooms denoting Lot 703. The blue trunk retains a fragment of a worn paper label on the lid.
