Buyer's Premium:

A set of seven photographic prints produced by The Trustees of the Ascot Authority to mark the racecourse tercentenary. The collection includes six black and white images and one colour image, capturing various historical, social, and sporting aspects of the venue. Subjects depicted include a candid study of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Princess Margaret in the Royal Box, a portrait of racing commentator Sir Peter O’Sullevan with BBC equipment, a jockey in Royal Ascot silks, a Ladies Day fashion study, and a contemporary action shot of racing past the grandstand. The set is accompanied by an introductory card with a gold embossed crest featuring the text ASCOT 300 YEARS A CELEBRATION, which provides historical context regarding the course’s founding by Queen Anne in 1711. The collection is housed in its original navy blue cloth-covered presentation box with a protective tissue paper insert bearing a faint Ascot crest. A lot tag for Liskeard Auction Rooms is present on the box.
