Lot 156: A Collection of Cast Metal Garden Furniture in the Victorian Revival Style
A collection of white-painted cast metal garden furniture comprising a dining table, a set of chairs, and a side table. The items are designed in a Victorian revival style featuring intricate pierced openwork. The large circular dining table has a tabletop decorated with scrolling and foliate motifs, supported on four cabriole legs with relief detailing at the knees. The matching chairs feature ornate pierced backrests and seats with a distinctive fan pattern, standing on slender cabriole legs. The smaller bistro or side table, bearing lot tag 156, has a radial patterned top with a scalloped rim and is raised on a tripod base of cabriole legs. Two arms on the chairs are broken. The base metal is likely cast aluminium.
