Lot 160: A Reclaimed Tanalised Timber Garden Sleeper
A single large rectangular timber beam, of the type used for garden landscaping. The wood shows a distinct greenish surface coloration characteristic of pressure treatment (tanalising) for rot resistance. The beam is constructed with square-cut ends and a rough-sawn surface. A prominent natural longitudinal check runs along the centre of the top face. The timber exhibits signs of outdoor exposure including surface dirt and the growth of moss and algae. A small white adhesive label is affixed to the upper surface with partially legible characters appearing to read 13, 18, and 160.
