Lot 269: Two Metal Storage Containers Comprising a 1984 US Military M19A1 Ammunition Can and a British Victa Series Case
A lot containing two distinct metal storage items. The first is a US military M19A1 ammunition container constructed of steel with an olive drab paint finish. It features yellow stencilled markings identifying its contents as 200 cartridges of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, specifically a mix of four M80 ball rounds to one M62 tracer round. The markings include the lot code LC-84K600L627, attributing manufacture to the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 1984. The side is stencilled with the intended use for M60 and M73 machine guns. The second item is a Victa Series metal storage case of British manufacture, finished in a light green-grey enamel. The interior upper lip is stamped with the manufacturer marks VICTA SERIES and MADE IN ENGLAND. The object is a rectangular, shallow drawer or case with a hinged or sliding construction, likely part of a modular industrial or office storage system.
